Tony ThompsonDave has operated in the field of emergency management for over thirty years, developing a high level of expertise in dealing with a wide variety of incidents / emergency situations at Operational, Tactical and Strategic levels.

A variety of roles and duties have been undertaken during his career which include: management and command; training and development; tactical and emergency planning; enforcement of legislation; conducting operational audits and performance assessments; planning and delivering minor / major multi-agency exercises, involving safety accidents, hostile acts and transport incidents; conducting accident and fire investigations, including fatal incidents; supporting an organisation to recover from a major incident involving fatalities and loss of assets; managing programmes and projects; developing internal and external (on and off-site) emergency plans for high-hazard industry, with associated procedures and risk assessments; conducting reviews of industrial emergency response teams; attending and participating in national forums and working groups associated with emergency arrangements.

Dave has many published articles across a range of related topics along with a short book entitled Critical Situations Reaction and Performance. Apersonal study entitled Incident Management: Response Arrangements is updated every year and shared far and wide.
